Jacob Schaper

About Me

Jacob Schaper is a homeschooled high school student who cares about our community and making the world a better place to live in. He is the recipient of the Bronze Presidential Volunteer Service Award for 140+ hours of community service last year and a runner up for the HSLDA Servant Leadership Award. Jacob plans to complete his culinary arts degree so that he can teach while earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering. This semester Jacob is getting a jump start on his future career in engineering and is co-teaching a class for middle schoolers about the mechanics of robotics using legos. Jacob is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society at Lewis & Clark Community College, and Eta Sigma Alpha Homeschool Honors Society.  Jacob has been the recipient of the Maxima Cum Laude honor for the National Latin Exam the last three years and has just recently been recognized by the CLT as a Regional Scholar Award Recipient. Jacob was a part of the 4H National Air Rifle Shooting Sports Team for Illinois this past summer.  Jacob loves golf, baking and God.
